Big Rock Machining Names Will Holzschuh as New Quality Manager

Elevating In-House Standards with Practical Experience and People-First Leadership

Big Rock Machining is proud to announce the promotion of William (Will) Holzschuh to the position of Quality Manager. A former Quality Inspector, Will steps into this leadership role with a hands-on background in aerospace machining and inspection—and a growing reputation for making quality systems more accessible and effective for the entire team.

Since joining Big Rock just four months ago, Will has worked to digitize the company’s spec library and modernize documentation access—replacing bulky file cabinets with searchable digital systems. His drive to “bring everything into the 21st century” has already streamlined daily workflows for machinists and inspectors alike.

With a resume built entirely on real-world experience, Will brings a practical edge to the position. He started on the lathe at Aircraft Precision Products in Ithaca, MI then rose through the ranks as an inspector and eventually a quality engineer. Since joining Big Rock, he’s quickly earned trust not just for his precision, but for his ability to connect with people and make quality processes feel less like red tape and more like real support.

“Will gets it—he knows that quality isn’t about catching mistakes, it’s about building clarity,” said Chris Soule, President of Big Rock Machining. “He’s modernizing our QMS while staying grounded in the shop culture that makes Big Rock who we are.”

Away from work, Will enjoys playing guitar, wrangling a two-acre lawn with his zero-turn mower, and taking care of his chickens, dog, and cats alongside his wife.

I’m on a mission to help job shops crush their marketing by building them a Radical brand that’s authentic to who they are and magnetic to those they want to attract.

My process empowers them to market their businesses simply and effectively without spending a fortune or wasting countless hours on social media.

Sharp, Shiny & Magnetic is how I operate. I believe that whatever energy you put out into the world, it has a ripple effect that consumes you and everyone around you, so I’m committed to making it the good kind.

I use my shiny disposition and sharp wit to help you source and shape your METAL–the stuff that makes your shop magnetic to the kinds of humans you want to have around you. I ask hard questions and go deep with my customers so that I can not only build them a Radical brand but help them OWN it and recognize their own Radicalness.
