Meet the New Faces Elevating Big Rock’s Precision and People-First Culture

Big Rock Machining New Hires

At Big Rock Machining, the difference isn’t just in the tolerances—it’s in the team. This summer, we’re proud to welcome two professionals who bring both experience and integrity to the shop floor: Will Holzschuh, now serving as our Quality Manager, and Kendra Ginderske, our new Estimator.

Will Holzschuh: Turning Quality Into a Team Sport

Will joined Big Rock as a Quality Inspector and quickly distinguished himself by combining technical expertise with people-first leadership. Within four months, he was promoted to Quality Manager—a role where he now leads initiatives to streamline documentation, modernize our QMS, and make quality systems more usable for everyone in the shop.

Will’s background is all hands-on. He began his career machining on lathes at Aircraft Precision Products in Ithaca, MI, before moving into inspection and eventually quality engineering. His approach to quality is grounded in clarity, not compliance checklists. He’s replaced outdated file cabinets with digital, searchable specs and is focused on making inspection support feel like part of the build—not a bottleneck.

Outside work, Will enjoys playing guitar, managing a two-acre yard, and spending time with his wife and their well-rounded crew of chickens, dogs, and cats.

Kendra Ginderske: Estimating Built on Experience

Kendra steps into the Estimator role with more than a decade in the machining world. She started on production-level work at TPI in St. Charles, MI, where she learned setup on older Akuma lathes and led production teams. From there, she transitioned to Integrity Fab and Machine, honing her blueprint reading and machining skills for over seven years.

Now at Big Rock, Kendra takes the lead on reviewing RFQs and assembling detailed estimates for complex jobs—including material, labor, and delivery. Her quotes aren’t just numbers—they reflect a lived understanding of what it takes to bring a part from print to delivery.

“I’ve always enjoyed how rewarding this work is,” she says. “You start with something rough and unshaped, and through time and skill, it becomes something useful.”

What drew her to Big Rock? A culture that values teamwork over volume, a quieter and more focused environment, and the chance to stay sharp while continuing to grow her technical skills.

She’s also an avid camper who loves exploring the UP’s hiking trails with her two dogs—a French Bulldog and a Pit-Husky mix—who became fast friends after a foster introduction.

With Will and Kendra on board, Big Rock continues to invest in the people who make our precision possible.

Emily Wilkins

I’m on a mission to help job shops crush their marketing by building them a Radical brand that’s authentic to who they are and magnetic to those they want to attract.

My process empowers them to market their businesses simply and effectively without spending a fortune or wasting countless hours on social media.

Sharp, Shiny & Magnetic is how I operate. I believe that whatever energy you put out into the world, it has a ripple effect that consumes you and everyone around you, so I’m committed to making it the good kind.

I use my shiny disposition and sharp wit to help you source and shape your METAL–the stuff that makes your shop magnetic to the kinds of humans you want to have around you. I ask hard questions and go deep with my customers so that I can not only build them a Radical brand but help them OWN it and recognize their own Radicalness.
